Cyprus Shipping Promotion ‘Mission to London’



Within the framework of the long-standing efforts of the Cyprus Maritime Administration and the Shipping Industry to further promote Cyprus Shipping abroad, a Cyprus Delegation which, included the Minister of Transport, Department of Merchant Shipping representatives as well as the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA), held a number of meetings with Shipping Companies in London.

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, also participated in this important ‘mission’ through its Director General and Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA), Mr. Thomas Kazakos.

During the ‘mission’, shipowners and other shipping entrepreneurs in London, were provided with the opportunity to learn about the latest economic and political developments in Cyprus and the Cyprus Government’s efforts to support / enhance Shipping in Cyprus, as well as on regional and international level, aiming to attract new shipping companies of British interests in Cyprus and register additional ships in the Cyprus Register, especially in view of the anticipated exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
