PDMO sells €100m in 13-weeks treasury bills at -0.05%

Yields dropped marginally to minus 0.05 per cent when the government auctioned €100m in 13-weeks treasury bills on Monday, the Public Debt Management Office (PDMO) said.

The issue was 89 per cent oversubscribed and competitive bids amounted to €131m and non-competitive bids to €58m, the finance ministry’s PDMO said in a statement on its website.

On May, the government auctioned €100m of this type of security at an average yield of minus 0.04 per cent, up 4 basis points compared to the April 3 auction in which yields dropped to an all-time low.
