The harmonised consumer price index fell 0.4 per cent in December compared to the respective month of 2016 on cheaper goods other than energy, the statistical service said.
Prices for food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco and those for non-energy industrial products dropped last month 2.8 per cent and 0.8 per cent respectively compared to December 2016, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Tuesday.
Energy prices rose an annual 2.1 per cent last month while service prices rose 0.6 per cent, Cystat said in a statement on its website.
In 2017, the harmonised inflation rate was 0.7 per cent, Cystat said.
