Cement sales fall 17% in first 10 months

Construcgtion activity continues to fall in Cyprus as total sales of cement fell 17 per cent in January to October to 374,336 tonnes compared to the same respective period a year ago, the statistical service said.

In the first ten months of the year, cement exports decreased 27 per cent to 218,468 tonnes compared to the same respective period last year, Cystat said in a statement on its website today. Clinker exports rose 54 per cent to 922.840 tonnes.
