Saloon registrations up 28% in February

The number of saloon registrations rose 28 per cent in February, to 3,025, compared to the respective month of 2017, the statistical service said.

The increase in registrations last month was mainly on a 40 per cent rise in that of second-hand cars, to 1,937, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Thursday. The registration of new cars rose 10 per cent, to 1,088.

In the first two months of 2018, the number of saloon registrations rose an annual 24 per cent, to 6,506, Cystat said. New saloon registrations rose 39 per cent, to 4,196, and that of used ones 3.5 per cent, to 2,310.
