Beer deliveries up 6.6% in H1

Local breweries increased their deliveries for domestic consumption 6.6 per cent to 19,077,088 litres in the first six months of the year compared to the respective period in 2017, the statistical service said on Friday.

In January to June, the volume of beer exported by local breweries fell 22 per cent to 465,085 litres compared to a year before, Cystat said in a statement on its website.

In June, breweries sold on the domestic market 5,113,029 litres which is 1.6 per cent less compared to a year before, Cystat said. In the same month, beer exports plunged 69 per cent to 82,729 litres.
